The Winnipeg Library Foundation, Inc., was established by the Winnipeg Public Library Board in 1996 to develop public support and manage fund raising on behalf of the Winnipeg Public Library. The Foundation works to raise money for innovative, major projects that enhance and extend the programs and services offered at the Library, over and above the level supported by available public resources.

The Winnipeg Library Foundation helps to strengthen our Library, which directly benefits everyone in Winnipeg. In addition to a better experience for individual library patrons, our library provides measurable returns to the community as a whole through increased literacy, innovative and entertaining programming, brighter students, greater access to information and information technology, and support for lifelong learning and career planning.

The Foundation creates partnerships with corporations, other foundations, and individual donors, and builds awareness within the wider community about the importance and value of the library to everyone. We appreciate your support and involvement. We also welcome volunteers, and of course, donations.
