The Winnipeg Library Foundation, Inc. is an independent philanthropic organization designed to cultivate support and raise funds for innovative, major projects of the Winnipeg Public Library.

The Winnipeg Library Foundation, Inc. is committed to supporting the library through partnerships with corporations, other foundations and individuals. Private financial support from the community enhances library programs and services beyond public resources.

The Winnipeg Library Foundation’s most recent initiatives have included the capital campaign to raise $21 million for the renovation and expansion of the Millennium Library, which was completed in 2006. Since then, the Foundation has engaged the ongoing support of donors to continue to fill the shelves of the Winnipeg Public Library’s central branch with a variety of materials and media.  The Foundation has also embarked on a fundraising campaign for Millennium Library Park.
